Yesterday evening, Brighton and Hove Albion confirmed that Under 23 youngster Ben Hall had now completed a move to Meadow Lane and Notts County to aid his development further in 2018/19.

The 21-year-old was with the Magpies last season on a loan spell and he made eleven appearances in total for them following his switch late on in the January transfer window. Nine of those games were starts in the heart of their defence as he impressed Kevin Nolan and helped them to three clean sheets as they secured a Play-Off berth for the season.

He will remain with the League Two side for the entire campaign.

Speaking about the Northern Irishman’s performances in 2017/18, Under 23 coach Simon Rusk explained to the Official Site.

“Ben’s move to Notts County last season proved to be a successful one for all parties concerned, so this renewed loan made sense. It was great to see Ben getting some first-team football under his belt, as he became more accustomed to the physical demands of senior football in England. We wish Ben the best of luck at Notts County for the season ahead, and we’ll certainly monitor his progress during his time away.”

Prior to his spell at Meadow Lane last season, Hall also took in eleven games in our Premier League 2 Division 2 campaign where he contributed to our promotion to the top-flight of Under 23 football.

He certainly must have impressed during the spell last year as he’s been welcomed back with open arms.
