The Premier League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game between Chelsea and Brighton on Boxing Day.

Chelsea host Brighton on Tuesday December 26 for the game at Stamford Bridge and the match carries a 3pm kick off.

Referee: Mike Dean
Assistant Refs: Ian Hussin and Daniel Cook
Fourth Official: Lee Probert

Match Day referee Dean has officiated 14 games in 2017/18, showing 51 yellow cards and one red card so far.

He took in 36 games in 2016/17 with a return of 138 yellow cards and five red cards.

His highest card count that year was seven yellows in the game between Stoke City and Manchester City. He also showed seven yellows and one red in the game between Tottenham and Sunderland and Barnsley and Leeds United.

He took in 41 matches in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 136 yellow cards and twelve red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Chelsea and Arsenal on September 19 with a total of six yellows being shown and two reds.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of the players edge closer to automatic bans.
