With Gus Poyet now condemned to being one of the Albion’s more controversial ex-managers, Oscar Garcia steps into his Shoes with a three year deal; maybe the Albion have learned how worthless giving long deals really is.

On the Official Club Site Oscar talks about what a future he sees with such a big forward thinking club such as the Albion. He intends to bring his attacking philosophies to the Amex and to continue the fantastic progression the seagulls have had in the last three years.

As expected he has confirmed that his assistants Juan Torrijo and Ruben Martinez have joined him from previous club Maccabi-Tel-Aviv along with former Albion midfielder Nathan Jones returning as assistant coach from Charlton.

With everyone in place now (apart maybe from a possible change of goalkeeping coach???) we can start looking forward to the new season and I for one am looking forward to the Albion attacking more frequently and with more pace; however it’s good to see that in two pre-season games so far we are still to concede a goal, so the defence is hopefully going to be as solid as last season.
