Brighton secured a win over Oxford in the League Cup on Tuesday.

It took a little over minute for Brighton to breakthrough with Adekugbe opening the scoring but Oxford were level before the half hour mark when Thomas equalised.

With the match heading into the final 15-minutes LuaLua’s 25-yard effort put Brighton ahead again, which came shortly after Oxford’s Lundstram had been denied by the underside of the crossbar.

Manu made it three on 81-minutes before Hemed came off the bench to confirm the win five-minutes from time but it was Oxford who had the last say with Crowley getting a U’s consolation deep into injury-time.
