Brighton have this afternoon confirmed that summer signing Davy Propper has been named in the provisional Netherlands squad.

The midfielder has been named in Dick Advocaat’s provisional 25 man squad for their upcoming 2018 World Cup qualifiers against France and Bulgaria.

They face France at the Stade de France on Thursday August 31 before hosting Bulgaria at the Amsterdam Arena on Sunday September 3.

The Dutch sit in third place in the Group A table with ten points from their opening six games and they are three points shy of Sweden in top spot.

Propper will find out if he makes the full squad on Friday August 25, and having made his debut back in a friendly against the USA in June 2015, he now has five caps to his name.
