New summer signing Liam Rosenior has said he feels that his Brighton and Hove Albion colleagues are on the right path this pre season given the work that we’ve put in so far.

Having arrived from Hull City as a free transfer following his release by Steve Bruce over the summer, Rosenior is still settling into life at the club and adjusting to his new team mates but that’s a process that he says is going well and whilst there is obviously still some gelling to be done ahead of the Championship kick off in August – he feels that when the team do fully gel we’ll be in line for a successful year once more.

Speaking to the Official Site as our pre season preparations continue, the full back explained.

‘The lads have been fantastic with me since I came into the club. They have been really helpful on and off the pitch and I am just now learning the relationships between myself and them on the pitch; how they play and how I play, which takes time. Thankfully I signed six weeks before the season so I can get to know the players and they can get to know me, so I am sure we will be successful in the future.’

Speaking after the friendly against Lewes that contained a number of our youngsters, we played out a scoreless draw and Rosenior was quick to applaud our hosts’ efforts on the day because echoing the thoughts of manager Chris Hughton he knew the effort they put into the game meant it had been a really good work out for us from a fitness point of view.

Talking about the game at the Dripping Pan, he added.

‘First of all I thought Lewes played really well and made it really difficult for us. Obviously the result is important but more important is that we are right for the 7th August. The boys put in a good shift, the pitch was hard at times to play on but you always want to excite the fans when you play.’
