Brighton collected another good, and potentially crucial, away point on Saturday following up the Cardiff draw with another at Sheffield Wednesday saw us take another step towards Championship survival, which will require us to improve our goalscoring record though….

A nil-nil draw at Hillsborough could have been different in the end as both sides had chances but with none taken the points were shared.

Stockdale was beaten by one effort, but this strike from Lee went just wide but the Brighton ‘keeper was forced into a save from a Bus header with the best chance of all coming in first half injury-time when Keane’s header from a couple of yards out was straight at Stockdale.

Whatever was said at half time worked as the opening minute of it saw us have a couple of chances as Teixeira saw his volley blocked and Best’s follow up cleared to safety.

Sheffield Wednesday did seem the more likely winner, with the half chances going their way but Teixeira looked to have created the winning for us as he pulled the ball back to Bennett but the Aston Villa loanee was denied scoring into an empty net by a Zayatte block.

Nuhiu, twice late on, should have won it for the hosts but it ended in a nil-nil draw, which will suit us much more.

Following this game, as is customary of course, attention now turns to the MotM for us – who you think this was?

Select the name that you want from the list in the poll to your right, but why not also share your thoughts with us on your thinking for that person, and this latest game itself, with some views….
