Chris Hughton is confident, certainly hopeful, that Bobby Zamora will be fit to make his Brighton return at the weekend when we travel to MK Dons.

Zamora was forced to miss the midweek win against Reading, which took us above Middlesbrough into second, but the expectancy is he’ll be back for Albion at MK Dons on Saturday as we seek another win to ensure we go into the international break in an automatic promotion spot behind leaders and probable Champions Burnley.

A knock in training forced him to miss the one-nil win at the Amex but Hughton, who knows we’ve got to manage the former England international as it is, is used to the veteran having problems here and there.

He told the Argus.

‘Bobby was a little bit sore but we are hoping he will be available. It`s certainly nothing serious and we`ve got used to it with Bobby, where some weeks he is better than others.’

All eyes will be on Middlesbrough and Hull who do battle tomorrow night.

The ideal outcome in that one for us would be a draw wouldn’t it, then if we can beat MK Dons (as we’ll want anyway), with or without Zamora’s help (we’ll prefer it to be with) we’ll be in a very good position come the break!
