Saying this about Brighton still hasn’t sunk in really, but this is what Albion and Paul Clements’ side are now, Premier League rivals. So, as I would have started, Premier League rivals Swansea have confirmed an interest in Albion target Tammy Abraham.

Abraham doesn’t have Premier League experience but his 23 goals for Bristol City last season are enough for Brighton, Newcastle and now Swansea to have a strong interest in the Chelsea striker.

Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins told BBC Wales Sport: ‘He’s a young and up and coming player we are interested in. Tammy does not have Premier League experience, but we are interested.’

England U21 international Abraham, 19, currently on duty at the European Championships, is deciding on his next move, which will almost certainly see him spend another season away from Stamford Bridge on loan.

The Chelsea striker will also do this at the highest level and Swansea are hoping Abraham selects them ahead of anyone else, the fact the Welsh clubs’ boss Clement coached him during his days with the Blues could help?

Jenkins added: ‘Paul knows him from Chelsea. If you look at the options which have been publicised, (they are) Brighton, Newcastle and ourselves, so it is left to Tammy and his family to decide where he wants to go next.’

It will come down to where Chelsea feel Abraham will get the most first team opportunities and have the best chance of scoring the goals.

Many would argue Newcastle will create more chances but on the flip side Brighton and Swansea, probably Albion in fact, would most likely give him the most minutes on the pitch so all we can do is hope, wait and see what happens.
