Brighton target Ryan Harley is in talks with Swansea City.

Exeter City’s Ryan Harley looks set to join Championship high flyers Swansea City.

Harley had been subject of interest from Brighton & Hove Albion, with Gus Poyet already having two bids for the midfield play maker turned down.

Brighton had bid £400,000, which was rejected, but Swansea have come in with an offer, which would see Harley loaned straight back to The Grecians for the remained of this season.

Harley’s contract runs out at the end of the season, when he would be able to leave for nothing.

Harley would then join up with Swansea at the end of the season, and that could even be in the promised land of The Premier League. Swansea currently occupy the second automatic promotion spot, and are 6 points clear of 7th placed, Reading.

Poyet had hoped Harley would bolster The Seagulls final charge for promotion after he impressed against The Albion in January.

He has caught the eye of Derby County as well, putting in numerous great performances, scoring 11 goals and claiming 7 assists from midfield this season.

There may still be hope for Poyet to land his man, but Harley is in talks with Swansea. It is then up to Harley to decide where his future lays.

Will it be The Premier League with Swansea, The Championship with Swansea, Brighton or Derby, or in League One with Brighton or Exeter?
