The regular penalty taker is David Lopez but with him having been taken off, as happens in so many of his games, Brighton had to look elsewhere against Middlesbrough on Saturday.

When top goalscorer Leo Ulloa stepped up most would have had confidence in him scoring to draw us level. He didn’t, he didn’t even hit the target, and Middlesbrough went on to score again to see us suffer a third successive defeat.

Oscar has told the Argus today that he’s not ruling out Ulloa stepping up again tonight should we be awarded a penalty against Blackburn, it also depends on Lopez being on the pitch or not as well mind.

‘We will have to speak to him about whether he is confident to take it or if David Lopez is on the pitch. We have to see.’

Albion have now gone over five hours without a goal.

Oscar knows all to well that we’ve got to firstly find some goals and that gives us a chance of getting some wins in order to get our season back on track with a win tonight essential for our promotion hopes.
