Brighton secured a win over Cardiff in the Championship on Tuesday.
Victory in the game in hand saw Brighton return to the top of the Championship table. A 1-0 win – extending the run to just one defeat in the last 10 in the league – at the Amex Stadium against Cardiff took Albion two points above Newcastle.
Despite the absence of Glenn Murray – with his appeal for wrongful dismissal against Sheffield Wednesday refused – Brighton secured the points courtesy of Tomer Hemed’s late winner.
