Brighton drew 0-0 with Cardiff in the Championship on Saturday.

A win at relegation-threatened Cardiff would have taken Brighton to the top of the Championship after Newcastle’s defeat at Nottingham Forest. However, Albion had to be content with a draw that did cut the gap to a point.

Glenn Murray did have the ball in the back of the Cardiff net when he fired home when set up by Shane Duffy’s header late on but the referee had already blown for a foul. Albion also ended with ten men when Gaeten Bong was sent off in injury-time.
