Huddersfield will know if they come away from Portman Road with a win at Ipswich they’ll go into the international break with the lead maintained at the top of the Championship table, having regained that in midweek.

They reclaimed this from Norwich after the lost a dramatic seven-goal thriller at Newcastle, going from a three-two lead deep into injury-time to eventually lose four-three so they’ll want a reaction at Wolves in the late kick-off on Saturday.

As Newcastle are at struggling Rotherham Rafa Benitez would fancy coming away from the New York Stadium with a win that could be enough to take them to the top of the table.

In-form Brentford can consolidate a play-off position if they can beat Wigan, who ended a winless run with a win against Wolves to move out of the bottom three, which Blackburn dropped back into an will look to move out of this again when Rovers head to Birmingham.

Also struggling, and in need of something positive heading into this break, are Cardiff who will travel to Burton’s Pirelli Stadium to face Nigel Clough’s side who drew against QPR with a home match in midweek.

We can say it goes without saying the expectation; most definitely the hope at least, will be for a positive result.

But will this happen? We’ll find out soon enough!
