Brighton’s Championship season continued with a draw at the Amex Stadium against Cardiff on Saturday.

The 100% home record Brighton had going into this game was lost, however with Stephen equalising an early Mason goal for Cardiff meant that Albion secured a point in a one-one draw.

Cardiff were ahead in the opening minutes when a Malone cross picked out Mason (5) who was left with a simple tap in early off.

This deficit remained in place with Cardiff ‘keeper Moore making a double save to deny both Baldock and Rosenior with the former also having another chance, however Baldock headed just wide as Brighton sought an equaliser.

Stephens (38) provided this equaliser for Brighton though as the midfielder volleyed past Moore with half time approaching, which might have seen Albion go into this ahead with Hemed going close.

Once again Baldock had another headed chance but he put this wide with Cardiff ‘keeper Moore again called into action as he saved from March with Brighton sub Manu and captain Greer unable to force home an injury-time cross that would have won it for Albion.

Despite the Brighton dominance Cardiff might have won it in the second half with Dunk having to head an Ameobi effort off the line.

A Brighton win always seemed more likely but this point leaves Albion remain as the only unbeaten side in the top four English leagues but this draw made it three draws in a row yet what this also did though was extend the lead at the top after Middlesbrough lost at Reading!
