Brighton’s Championship season continued with a win once again at the Amex Stadium against Rotherham on Tuesday

Hemed and Stephen seem to be involved in a quite a few of Brighton’s goals this season, if it isn’t LuaLua – who was suspended, and they were the goalscorers again for Albion with Clarke-Harris’ goal back for Rotherham a consolation in this two-one win that extends the lead to five-points at the top of the Championship table, and leaves the Millers rock bottom!

When you’re top of the league and have scored the opening goal, in an unbeaten league start so far, in all the games you’ve played you have confidence and Brighton could have gone ahead through Baldock and Murphy, who both had chances for Albion.

The lead did come when Hemed (27) scored for the third-match in a row, finishing off from a Murphy assist before the half hour mark.

Maguire could have levelled for Rotherham after the break but the former Sheffield Wednesday striker didn’t make the most of poor Brighton defenders and the Millers’ chance had past.

Brighton rode a bit of luck to stay ahead with the lead extended when Stephens (67) finished well to beat Millers ‘keeper Camp at the midway stage of the second half to give Albion some breathing space.

Rotherham were soon back in the game though when Clarke-Harris (71) came off the bench to head home a Newell freekick but they couldn’t get that leveller with only a fine Camp save preventing Bruno from adding a third.
