The Premier League season continued with the latest round of games played over the weekend.
Manchester City’s dramatic added time winner in the early game at Bournemouth on Saturday saw City top the Premier League table for a while… well, until Manchester United made it three out of three in that evening game, seeing off Leicester to hit the summit.
Still seeking first points, West Ham and Crystal Palace are now bottom and second bottom, respectively. The Hammer were thrashed 3-0 at Newcastle – claiming a first win since promotion – and Palace were beaten by Swansea.
Huddersfield retained their unbeaten start with a point in a goalless draw against Southampton – fellow promoted side Brighton collected a first point when the deadlock couldn’t be broken at Watford.
Sunday saw several games, including Chelsea’s revival from a poor opening day defeat continue with a comfortable win over Everton, who suffered a first defeat of the campaign at Stamford Bridge.
Another game in the Sunday scheduling was Liverpool against Arsenal. It was an afternoon the Reds, who moved up to second, savoured at Anfield but one for the Gunners to forget having been battered 4-0.
Here’s a round-up of the Premier League results.
