Brighton and Hove Albion made the trip to St James’ Park on Saturday to take on manager Chris Hughton’s former side Newcastle United.
A first-half goal from Israeli international Beram Kayal proved to be enough to take all three points on the day in what was an incredibly tough match for the Seagulls given Newcastle’s dominance on possession and a whopping 27 chances overall in the game.
Enormous shift from the boys to have gotten consecutive wins and clean sheets. Looking to make it 3 on the trot next week. Scary moment for @GM_83 glad heโs got the all clear and on the mend. Support was ๐ pic.twitter.com/J2N2ZusX2N

With the match being Hughton’s first win in four attempts at his old stomping ground, it was also back to back wins and clean sheets for the club – and our first away victory of the season.
A big part of that was down to Australian international Maty Ryan and his performance between the sticks.
Taking to social media following the match to celebrate the victory, the above Tweet certainly garnered a good response from fans as they hailed his showing and praised the overall work ethic of the side in battling to the result.

Can we make it three wins and three clean sheets from three when we face newly promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers next weekend?
