What Will Mourinho Blame Today – Big Three Points For Brighton

|

Brighton and Hove Albion hosted Manchester United in today’s Premier League clash.

A slow start to the first half from the visitors was suitably punished by Brighton as Glenn Murray opened the scoring in the 25th minute. Shane Duffy doubled our advantage two minutes later as we took charge and despite United clawing one back through Romelu Lukaku, we went into the halftime break with a 3-1 advantage following Pascal Gross’ penalty after a rash Eric Bailly challenge.

We couldn’t add to our tally in the second period and United ensured a nervy ending to the game as Duffy conceded a penalty five minutes into stoppage time as they pressed and Paul Pogba converted from 12 yards so the match ended 3-2 in our favour.

Having secured our Premier League future with victory over Mourinho last season, few expected a repeat and Brighton fans will rightly be the happier as they head home.

It may not have been pretty but it had its moments and it is our first three points of the season so gets us off the mark nicely.
