Could Bobby Zamora return to Brighton? Spells with Spurs, West Ham, Fulham and QPR have taken place since he left the club over a decade ago but growing reports say he could return for one last hurrah?

Unlike last summer when the former England man looked like he might leave QPR, before returning, there isn’t going to be a reprieve with the 34-year-old seeking a new club and that has seem ongoing media reports in recent days suggest that Chris Hughton is keen to bring him to the Amex Stadium having, I would imagine, worked with him during his Spurs days.

Indian I-League side Pune FC have apparently offered him a contract but the Daily Mail is the latest carrying reports that we’re looking to bring him back to the club where he enjoyed three fine years between 2000-2003, scoring an impressive 77-goals in 130 appearances.

Zamora is a different, and more rounded player, to the one that we had but he would need to be managed given his injury issues but if this is a financially viable option then I wouldn’t be against Bobby coming back at all!

I’m not too sure it’ll happen though….

Another that has question marks surrounding his future is Adrian Colunga. He’s due to return to pre-season training this week but despite having a year left on his contract it’s not thought Hughton’s overly keen to keep him.

Should Zamora, or another striker, sign then it’ll be near certain that the Spaniard is ‘surplus to requirements’ and if we can offload him we will.
