Andrew Crofts, the somewhat forgotten man last season, ran on to a through ball by Agustien to drill the ball home and end the early season woes for the Seagulls.

Albion had pretty much dominated the first half with chances again going begging with a couple from Ulloa and another from the busy Agustien.

Going in 0-0 at half time the nerves were starting to stir in all Albionites stomachs and when Birmingham came out for the second half and hit the bar twice in a couple of minutes, it looked like a familiar story of rueing missed chances.

However OG brought on Forster-Caskey for David Lopez and Ashley Barnes for Will Buckley and Albion responded with a patient passing move that resulted in Crofts scoring his first of the season.

Although Birmingham are know where near the side they were a couple of seasons ago, it’s always difficult to go and get points at a partisan St.Andrews and credit where it’s due, Albion forgot the missed chances and took their ooportunity in the second half when it arose.

So the doom and gloom merchants will have a miserable weekend not being able to pick the team and OG apart and hopefully we can use this game as a stepping stone to a long undefeated run carrying on at home to Burnley next saturday.

Come on you Seagulls!!
