Brighton skipper Gordon Greer has been rewarded for the season he has had with us by being called up by the Scotland side for their upcoming friendly against Nigeria.
Gordon Strachan’s side will face them at Craven Cottage on May 28th and having helped his national side to three clean sheets in games against the USA, Norway and Poland, as well as helping us to our unfortunate play off disappointment, Greer will again be in the side to build on his own international experience.
Having been substituted against Derby with a hamstring problem, he will however be set for an assessment before he joins up with the 28 man party, as although they failed to qualify for the World Cup, they are preparing for the Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.
