Has Williams played his last game?

On loan Aston Villa striker Sam Williams may no longer have a future on loan at the Seagulls as his groin injury is likely to rule him out of Saturday’s away trip to Huddersfield.

Williams was ruled out of last Saturday’s home game with the injury he picked up in training last week. His one month loan deal ends shorlty after the Huddersfield clash. It seems unlikely Albion Manager Dean Wilkins will bend over backwards to keep him on loan at the club.

Williams made a good start whilst on loan, scoring a terrific looping header on his debut against Chesterfield. But since then he has failed to impress many and whilst we must recognise he joined Brighton at a difficult time in the season, he may not be the elusive target man we are still searching for.

Meanwhile, Alex Revell and Chris Breach are likely to return to full training today, with Gary Hart hopefully soon following later on in the week as he is making good progress in overcoming his injury he picked up last week.
