Apparently one thing that is a near certainty is that the next Brighton manager isn’t, as has been the case with our last three manager’s, going to be from overseas.

The Argus reports that we have a ‘British-dominated’ shortlist of people of interest…. Tony Pulis is apparently the ‘no.1’ choice on this list to become our next manager but if we can’t manage to convinced him to takeover at the Amex Stadium, for whatever reason, then Chris Hughton would be ‘a top contender’ instead.

Hughton, out of work since being sacked by then Premier League side Norwich in April, came close to being appointed as our manager in the summer but in the end Tony Bloom and the board opted for Sami Hyypia, could it be ‘second time lucky?’

Tim Sherwood and Tony Mowbray are others that are being linked….
