Hull Knocked Back By Brighton – Duo Going Nowhere For Now

|

On Saturday afternoon it was being reported that Brighton and Hove Albion had rejected bids from Hull City for Jiri Skalak and Oliver Norwood.

Sky Sports have reported that with options in midfield short for Nigel Adkins, Hull have made firm offers for both players but even though they are both within their final 12-months of contract at the Amex Stadium, we knocked those offers back.

Adkins has worked with Norwood previously as he signed him at Reading back in 2014.

With Brighton’s strengthening this summer, both out of contract next summer and the fact that Skalak only made three appearances in 2017/18 (not a single Premier League showing) whilst Norwood spent the campaign out on loan, it’s likely we will deal but are looking for slightly more than Hull offered as we look to balance up our expenditure this year.

With seven arrivals already in given the capture of Percy Tau, we will see more departures and I guess it’s just a matter of time.
