Brighton Manager Gus Poyet has been nominated for The Championship Manager of the Month for August 2011.
It’s been a great start to life for The Seagulls winning 4 out of 5 league games, and drawing the other to leave them top of the league.
In August, Poyet’s men progressed to the 3rd round of The Carling Cup, where they face Liverpool after knocking out Gillingham and claiming the scalp of The Premier League’s, Sunderland.
Tony Mowbray of Middlesbrough and Nigel Clough of Derby, both former Premier League players, have also been nominated for the award alongside Nigel Adkins of Southampton.
Poyet won Manager of the Month twice last season in Brighton’s League One title winning season.
The winner of the award will be announced tomorrow on Sky Sports.
