Swindon Town hammered another nail into Brighton and Hove Albions League 1 coffin on Saturday after scoring 3 times in a crazy 13 minute spell at the start of the second half to secure all 3 points at the Withdean on Saturday.

It was another ‘vital must win’ game for Brighton but goals from Gordon Greer, Billy Paynter and Simon Cox gave the away side a comfortable lead after Adam Virgo’s first half effort had put the Albion ahead. Gary Dicker managed a 90th minute consolation for Brighton but it was too little, too late.

The Seagulls situation nows looks desparate, 6 ponts adrift of safety with just 5 games remaining and while survival is still possible, on current form it looks highly unlikely.

The only bright point of the day was the crowd of 6549, which under the current circumstances is a credit to the club.

The Albion travel to Layer Road to take on Colchester today in another must win game.
