Solly March has said he’s focusing on getting much more pitch time between now and the end of the season having made his first start for the club in the FA Cup game recently against Reading.

The player has made five appearances for Oscar so far this campaign having made his debut this season as a substitute back when we faced Derby County back in early August, and now not only does he was to be more involved, but he wants to make his full league debut and get a run in the side of he can now before 2013-14 comes to a close.

Speaking to the Official Site the youngster said he only had one aim really now that we are in the second half of the campaign, and that was to push on and prove to the gaffer that he should be selected more often.

‘It’s nice to get the first game out of the way and get some more playing time, I had been hoping to make my first start this season and now I have I want to push on and make more appearances.’

He also admitted that coming on as a substitute was a great experience for him, but starting the game was a world of difference because of the focus needed to be ready to go when that whistle blows, and even the intensity of the warm up is different when you’re in the starting XI compared to how it is when you start from the bench.

He was glad however to get a few touches early on in the game, as he felt that helped him settle and calm himself down so he could focus on the instructions he had been given and he was delighted with the messages of congratulations and support he received after the game as it was great for his confidence.

Small steps for a youngster at this stage, but Garcia has shown he has faith in him using him as he has done, and if he keeps his head down his full league debut can’t be far away.
