South African Player Of The Year Finally Set To Complete Brighton Move

|

Well this has been a long-running saga but it’s now being reported that Mamelodi Sundowns striker Percy Tau is finally on the verge of completing his speculated move to Brighton and the Amex Stadium.

With it being reported the other day that he was set to fly to England to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical, it was reported by Sky Sports within the last hour that he was now close to completing the deal.

The 24-year-old should shortly undergo his medical and put the final touches to personal terms as he sits down properly with us, but as expected a work permit will be an issue even though he has 12 international caps to his name for South Africa.

Some outlets are reporting that he has already completed his medical and could be announced before the end of the evening.

The work permit issue has given rise to suggestions that once he completes his move he will be immediately loaned out where good game time in Europe should aid him in getting a UK work permit more easily in the future. Such talk of a loan is not joined with suggestions of a possible destination at this stage.
