Albion right back Andrew Whing is in a confident mood going into the game against league leaders Carlisle tomorrow afternoon.

Whing, a summer signing from Coventry on a free transfer has been highly impressive so far this season and has certainly been one of the most consistent performers for us. Speaking to The Argus ahead of the game, Whing said:

‘It’s a big incentive for us to show everyone in the league we are serious about going up.

‘We have got a lot of belief and confidence in the team and we are not scared of anyone as yet.

‘In a couple of weeks we can overtake Carlisle and maybe we will be the league leaders.’

John Ward’s side have again been in impressive form this season and despite the departure of hitman Karl Hawley in the summer, they now have a new hitman in record signing Joe Garner who so far has scored 6 goals in League One this season.

Albion’s opponents are also on an impressive run of form in League One and have remained unbeaten in four games, with their last away defeat in mid October.
