4 players on the way out?

Finally some news! Unfortunately unconfirmed at this stage but this is the current state of play.

In addition to Chris McPhee, who BHA Vital Football said farewell to yesterday, three other members of the first team squad have been released. Apparently these are Mark McCammon, Alexis Nicolas and Federico Turienzo

Mark McCammon’s departure seems inevitable, regardless of official confirmation. He had a memorable row with Mark McGhee at Burnley at April 2005 storming off at half time and earlier this season went on BBC SCR Fans Phone In and criticised various aspects of the club. He spent the latter parts of the season on loan at Bristol City.

If the news is true over Nicolas, it is more disappointing. When he first arrived on loan from Chelsea at the start of 04/05, he looked like just the player we had been crying out for. Regrettably he has rarely looked the same since signing permanently and only made 4 league starts this season.

Federico Turienzo appears the most surprising, seeing as he was due to be under contract for another season. Reports suggest chairman Dick Knight has come to an arrangement to pay off the remainder of his contract. Turienzo was purchased last summer for a reported 6 figure sum and then barely featured all season, making only 1 start. He appeared to be much in the mould of Maheta Molango, an overseas striker who fails to offer anything new upfront.

Remember this is all currently unconfirmed speculation but stay posted for official confirmation in the next few days. Although knowing our club…
