Brighton and Hove Albion bounced back from the disappointing setback against Swindon to keep their survival hopes alive with a brilliant 1-0 at Colchester United at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
A 57th minute header from Lloyd Owusu was enough to earn a throroughly deserved three points in a spirited display against a United side who had 2 ex-Seagulls Dean Hammond and Mark Yates in their ranks.

Other than 2 first half efforts the home side did not really look like scoring and it was the Albion who should really have added to the scoreline.

The win leaves Brighton 3 points adrift of safety with 4 games to play. More importantly perhaps, they also have a game in hand on the sides directly above the drop zone.

Full credit to the Albion players for putting recent setbacks behind them and setting up what promises to be an exciting finale to the season.
