Yesterday afternoon Brighton and Hove Albion legend Glenn Murray signed a new 12 month extension to his deal at the Amex Stadium.
The 35-year-old has recently bagged his 100th club goal following his spells with us, and in October he became our record post-war goalscorer to boot.

Manager Chris Hughton was obviously delighted with the news, praising Murray’s professionalism both on and off the pitch and acknowledging once again how important a player he is for the club and Murray himself told the Official Site.

“It means a lot that the club has shown another year’s faith in me. I just want to carry on in the form I’m in at the minute and continue scoring goals at this level for Brighton. I don’t think at any stage of my career I’d have believed I would be getting another contract in the Premier League at this age, but you just never know what can happen in football.”
With the 100th goal behind him, and six in 12 appearances for us in the Premier League campaign of 2018/19, with the 12 month extension given his current rate, I see no reason why 125 as the next marker, at least, isn’t now on the cards.
Gets a pen…and scores!
