Albion winger Will Buckley has been awarded Budweiser Player of the Round, after his performance in the memorable FA Cup victory over Newcastle United.
Buckley put Toon to the sword with a deflected effort and an all-round fine display to seal Albion’s place in the 5th round, resulting in another glam tie away to Liverpool.
He saw off competition from players including Robin van Persie, Jermaine Beckford & Matt Tubbs. For his efforts he receives a commemorative trophy along with an invite to May’s final as a guest of the FA.
Here’s hoping he can pull off similar heroics in the next round at Anfield – well, one can dream.
