The draw is a nostalgic one at that with Albion`s last ever game at the Goldstone ground being against the very same opposition. With the Carling Cup dishing up a first round fixture against former landlords Gillingham, there certainly appears to be a sense that the stadium struggle has very much come to an end.
The Seagulls also have early derby games to look forward to with Portsmouth away in August and a Tuesday night fixture in September against rival Crystal Palace. It`s a tough season with October`s trips to West Ham and Birmingham standing out. BRING IT ON!!!!!!
