After a year of injury frustration England U21 international Solly March is now back in the picture with Brighton and hoping to be back in the first-team on a regular basis under Chris Hughton.

The winger has made a number of full 90-minute outings for the Development Squad with his first-team return coming in the recent win against Bristol city, he then got the full match in the EFL Trophy win against Leyton Orient last week, with him telling the Argus he’s looking for more minutes as he returns to full fitness but basically concedes this will need patience.

‘I still want to get more minutes. It will be great to get a first team start in the next month or two but I`ll have to be playing well. For now, I`m probably looking to get more minutes and build my fitness.’

With Anthony Knockaert, Jamie Murphy and Jiri Skalak among his rivals as well as Kazenga LuaLua, the competition for places is fierce.

He added his ability to play in ‘a few positions’ could work in his favour though.

‘Kaz (LuaLua) is coming back as well so we have five good options on the wing. Last year I played more on the right but I would like to think I can play anywhere along the front except as a main striker. I can play a few positions.’
