The Development squad this week had a tremendous 3-1 win away to Ipswich; the strikers got the goals with George Barker getting the first before Shamir Goodwin weighed in with a Brace.

It was an exceptionally pleasing result as Ipswich played some experienced first teamers such as Stephen Hunt and Alan Lee, with the later being excellently marked by the returning Lewis Dunk.

The news wasn’t so good for Albion ladies as they went down 3-0 to Gillingham in the Premier League cup, almost certainly ending their chances of qualifying for knockout rounds unless they get a great result against Tottenham Ladies in their last group game.

Meanwhile on the international scene both Craig Conway and Gordon Greer have been given a good chance of playing for Scotland in their friendlies against the USA and Norway, after Mark McGhee spoke about squad players getting an opportunity.

Stephen Ward is back in the Ireland squad for their up coming friendlies but Andrew Crofts has had to withdraw again for the Wales squad with injury.

So we go into the international break with fingers crossed that those Albion players who get a game for their countries come out unscathed for the next league game away to Wigan on Saturday 23rd November.
