Poyet Plans Bridcutt Raid?

I was wondering how long it would take for the links to begin that would have Gus Poyet planning a return to the Amex. Not, or course, in a managerial capacity but in the hopes of luring one of our players away.

At the moment the talks are nothing more than speculation from SportsDirect News, but it’s being claimed that the recently appointed Sunderland manager is keen on being reunited with Liam Bridcutt?

Bridcutt is a wonderful footballer, who I’m sure wouldn’t be out of place in the Premier League. He’s already been linked to clubs like Stoke and Norwich, so we could see a good amount of interest in him in January when the transfer window opens again.

I reiterate that I’m sure Bridcutt could cut it in the Premier League but I’d hope that we can resist the lure to sale the Scot and he’ll want to stay at the Amex until the end of the season at least as it’s quite conceivable that he could end up in the Premier League anyway, with us!
