Premier Ambition

What player doesn’t have aspirations and dreams of playing at the highest level?

Tomasz Kuszczak has already done this of course, he played in the Premier league for Man United (didn’t he have a spell, maybe a loan one, with WBA too) and that also brought him Champions League football!

Perhaps Champions League football with Brighton is unlikely but Premier League football with us isn’t. It’s certainly something that the keeper wants again if he can, and why can’t he?

We weren’t far off this last season, thanks in part to him, and after a difficult start we’re only a couple of points of the play-off positions and with the games coming thick and fast in the next couple of weeks if we can enjoy real success it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that we couldn’t be there or thereabout for the automatic places.

Kuszczak’s interview in the Argus also saw him state an intention to stay with Brighton for the long haul, so far he’s made 64 appearances for us since his summer arrival in 2012, when he opted to drop a division, but he’s already got 600 outings for us in mind!

At 31, in keeping terms that’s relatively young, and with him targeting another decade at the Amex to take him through to his early 40’s then why not?

First and foremost though I’d settle for the first of his aim, to make it into the topflight again.
