Making the trip to Vicarage Road for the 2018/19 Premier League opener against Watford earlier this afternoon didn’t quite go to plan for Brighton and Hove Albion.

A Roberto Pereyra brace either side of the halftime break gave them a 2-0 victory on the day to temper hopes and expectations after a very good summer of spending and strengthening in the permanent transfer window, but our newbies are still getting up to speed and this game would’ve helped Bernardo, Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Yves Bissouma to settle into the pace of the top-flight, so there are positives – but equally a number of negatives from the showing as we failed to get a single shot on target and we lost Bruno early on in what appeared to be a hamstring injury.

Either way, you can rate the players yourself on the widget below as award stars to each of those involved today based on how you rated their individual showings as we look for our first Man of the Match of the season.
