Latvian international Deniss Rakels has been handed the chance to earn himself a contract with Brighton.
Oscar Garcia has given the striker, who had an impressive loan spell with GKS Katowice last season (and the one before) is actually contracted to fellow Polish outfit Zagebie Lubin, a trial.
The 21-year-old will spend a week with the Seagulls training, and taking part in a pre-season friendly, which if he can impress enough he could win himself a deal to join his countryman Vitalijs Maksimenko at the club.
