The Striker who scored 21 league goals in his first full season following a stuttering two years of transfer requests and niggling injuries was an integral part of a Seagulls side that won the title.

Murray is now expected to finally get his much desired move North to Crystal Palace who have offered the striker a lucrative deal. At 27 you can’t blame him for wanting to make the most of his situation and Albions rivals appear to have made the best offer.

Murray, although not blessed with pace posses many qualities outstanding qualities such as his first touch, aerial prowess and intelligence. It is understood that Brighton were unwilling to meet his wage demands as the striker was, as yet unproven at Championship level. It would appear that his potential suitors are more convinced of the strikers ability to make the step up and so Glenns future lies elsewhere.

In short, thank you for the goals and your outstanding contribution Glenn, however I will stop short at wishing you good luck for rivalry purposes..
