The under 18s came out second best to a talented QPR side. The official club site reports that the young Seagulls held their own for the first half hour but were undone in the 34th minute by QPR’s Shodibo, even if his final effort was a bit fortunate.
Albion never really looked like getting back into the game after that and if it wasn’t for Wray in the Brighton but even Wray couldn’t stop the two late goals from Beccles and Pattie that saw the Londoners comfortably come away with the 3 pts.
I haven’t seen the youth team this year so don’t know what kind of talent the Albion have this season in their youth ranks but hopefully as the season progresses the younger players will mature and become prospects for the future.
